  12.  I have a 2.5" HD pulled from my A1200 which I have tentatively sold to a 
  13.  fellow however, I now seem to have a problem.

  15.  1. As part of the sale I was to re-format the drive and
  16.  just install the basic WB 3.0 system software.
  17.  
  18.  2. The drive until now has given me zero problems.
  19.  
  20.  3. Upon attempting to format the drive I got a message
  21.  "Couldn't open HD3"  (HD3 being the partition name)
  22.  This also ends the format process.
  23.  
  24.  3. If I try to use Disksalv "repair" option it reports that all is
  25.  repaired but when I try to format I get the same message again.
  26.  
  27.  What is wrong? Have I somehow messed up the format process?  I need 
  28.  to know fairly soon because I want to be able to either say in good
  29.  conscience that the drive is ok or tell the fellow to look somewhere
  30.  else for a drive.
